The powered speaker shall be an ultra-compact, wedge speaker. It shall consist of three 3.15” Neodymium cone drivers with 1” voice coil and one 6” passive radiator to guarantee a controlled and liner emission from 70 Hz to 18 kHz. The speaker shall be equipped with a two-channel amplifier and a DSP to adjust the EQ inside the box. The DSP will provide the possibility to change the horizontal pattern of the single speaker and its bass response, done through two buttons on the back of the speaker to avoid the use of a computer. The speaker shall also feature a direct USB connection to serve as a plug and play solution. The controlled horizontal dispersion shall provide the possibility of creating horizontal arrays which will increase the SPL and the coverage while maintaining a high and constant signal-before- feedback within all the cluster’s beams. The speaker shall be comprised of a stainless steel chassis in a compact, low profile to be easily and discreetly integrated in scenographic designs, broadcasts, and under-balcony setups. The loudspeaker shall have selectable horizontal coverage of 30°/70° and 90° vertical coverage. The power handling capacity shall be 180 W and its frequency response (+/- 3dB) measured on axis shall be 70 Hz to 18 kHz with a maximum sound pressure of 121 dB (peak). The dimensions shall not exceed 26.6 x 10.3 x 3.02 cm (10.47” x 4.06” x 11.89”) and shall weigh no more than 5.2 kg (11.59 lbs). The loudspeaker shall be the KRM33 variable coverage speaker by K-array.
