The portable system shall be comprised of a pair of self-powered subwoofers combined with two loudspeakers featuring mid-high line array elements each. The portable system shall be easily transportable and ultra-fast to setup and dismantle for almost any small scale application such as broadcasts, conferences and corporate settings, hospitality, houses of worship and theater. The subwoofers shall feature two channels of Class D amplification housed in an 18” frame with programmable onboard DSP, managed by an integrated touch screen to adjust and edit input/output levels, signal routing, offset delays and Speakon output and overall system delays of up to 330 ms., and multiple analog and digital outputs. This high-performance bass element shall perform at 2 x 1000 W at 8 and boast an SPL of 130 dB in continuous. The subwoofers shall be designed with a unique four-corner port configuration that strengthens the cabinet structure, allows for back loading of connecting speakers and extended bass response with very low distortion. The cabinet of the subwoofer shall feature pocket handles and an M20 thread mount position for attaching the speakers. The partnered speakers shall each consist of sixteen 2” long excursion, full-range cone drivers with a Neodymium magnet assembly mounted to a 100 cm (39.4”) array in a sturdy steel cabinet enclosure which shall be all-weather resistant, suitable for both outdoor and indoor applications. The speakers shall have true line array characteristics: phase coherence, low distortion and focused listening in both the near field and at a distance from the speaker. They shall have two different impedance settings for a higher or lower impedance (8Ω / 32Ω) and have a nominal horizontal dispersion angle of 110° and a selectable vertical one of 7° or 35°. The power handling capacity of the subwoofers shall be 700 W. The frequency response (+/- 3dB) measured on axis shall be 40Hz to 150Hz with a maximum sound pressure of 134 dB (peak). The dimensions of one set (WxHxD) shall not exceed 32.6 x 32.7 x 43.3 cm (12.8” x 12.9” x 17.0”) and shall weigh no more than 15.6 kg (34.4 lbs). The power handling capacity of the loudspeakers shall be 400 W. The frequency response (+/- 3dB) measured on axis shall be 150Hz to 20kHz with a maximum sound pressure of 130 dB (peak). The speaker shall be as invisible as possible and shall be easily integrated in every kind of environment and/or surface. The dimensions (WxHxD) shall not exceed 5.9 x 100 x 8.1 cm (2.3” x 39.4” x 3.2”) and shall weigh no more than 4.8 kg (10.6 lbs). The subwoofers shall be the KMT18 and the speakers shall be KK102 Kobras to form the KR202 portable system by K-array.
