Color is the most important element in my work, and the CRI allows me

to ensure that every hue is rendered as accurately as possible,

giving life to the experience I aim to create

Importance of CRI in MUSEUMS

In museums, it is essential that artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and textiles, are illuminated in a way that makes the colors appear as intended by the artist.

A high CRI ensures that colors are represented accurately and without distortion. A CRI of at least 90 is often recommended to achieve excellent color fidelity. For visitors, color accuracy contributes to a more authentic and satisfying experience.

Color perception is crucial for appreciating artworks, and high CRI lighting ensures that visitors see the works as the artist intended.

The lighting is, of course, critical in allowing a work of art to shine and exemplify the small surface details that might be hard to see.

One thing I was struck by was the way that the lights brought out elements of paintings

I’m extremely familiar with but had not seen under other conditions
