The new TIAA Frisco Corporate Center is designed to support collaboration, focus, and flexibility across a wide range of workplace environments. From open-plan common areas and a multifunctional cafeteria to executive meeting rooms and a dedicated top-floor boardroom, each space required a tailored yet cohesive AV approach. To meet these demands, McCann Systems designed and deployed a fully integrated AV solution that unifies audio and lighting into a single, scalable and easy-to-manage infrastructure. The project combines technologies from both K-ARRAY and KSCAPE, creating a seamless ecosystem that ensures consistent performance across the entire building.
Common Areas: Discreet Audio Coverage for Open Spaces
The common areas, characterized by large open floor plans, required consistent background music and paging without visual intrusion. The system features a wide deployment of K-array Tornado-KT2 point-source loudspeakers, alongside ceiling-mounted KT2C variants, ensuring even sound distribution throughout the space. Low-frequency support is provided by Rumble-KU26 and KU210W subwoofers, delivering full-range audio performance. Power and control are handled by a range of Kommander amplifiers, including KA04, KA14 I, KA34, and KA68. Thanks to the ultra-compact design of K-array loudspeakers, the system remains visually discreet while maintaining high intelligibility and comfort across the environment.
Cafeteria: Seamless Integration of Audio and Lighting with KSCAPE RAIL
In the cafeteria, the design approach shifts toward functional integration, combining sound and lighting into a single architectural element.
The installation uses KSCAPE RAIL R120 fixtures, which integrate high-quality audio with diffused, tunable white lighting. This allows the space to adapt dynamically throughout the day, supporting everything from casual dining to larger social gatherings. The system is complemented by Rumble-KU26 subwoofers and powered by a Kommander-KA68 amplifier, ensuring consistent audio performance while minimizing visible hardware and simplifying installation.
Executive Floor: High-Performance AV with Advanced Control
Executive Boardroom
The 15th-floor executive boardroom is designed to deliver premium audio clarity, visual comfort, and operational flexibility. The space is equipped with KSCAPE RAIL fixtures featuring integrated audio and tunable lighting, supported by Rumble-KU44W subwoofers and driven by a Kommander-KA68 amplifier. Control is managed via CASAMBI wireless technology, allowing intuitive adjustment of both lighting and audio without the need for additional wall-mounted interfaces.
Meeting Rooms
The meeting rooms follow the same design philosophy on a smaller scale, ensuring consistency across all executive spaces. They incorporate KSCAPE RAIL systems, paired with KV102RX II loudspeakers, Rumble-KU44 subwoofers, and powered by a Kommander-KA104 amplifier. This setup guarantees clear speech intelligibility and balanced sound performance for meetings and conferencing.
