The Architecture of Pinnacle

K-array’s Pinnacle series is characterised by design innovation and creative engineering. One of the most revolutionary introductions to the audio world, it changed both portable systems and installed sound forever. Its sleek design adapted to almost any environment, but it wasn’t just the aesthetics that wowed engineers. The electronics and architecture that powered and connected the systems were also nothing short of ground-breaking.

THE BENEFITS
of high impedence

K-array’s Pinnacle columns offer the option to run at very high impedance. This allows the loudspeakers to be daisy-chained together. Depending on the model you can link up to four or eight Pinnacle modules from just one amplifier channel, which offers a host of benefits for users.

Firstly, using high impedance loudspeakers saves time on-site. This hassle-free approach means less cabling, you just run one cable from the amplifier and then connect the loudspeakers to each other.

As well as this, using high impedance systems saves money as fewer amplifiers are required and less cabling is needed. The modular nature of Pinnacle makes it flexible and scalable which makes it ideal for rental companies or venues with several spaces or changeable performance areas. With one set of Pinnacle stock, you can build several smaller systems or combine the columns into a single, higher performance system when needed. Pinnacle is designed to interlock together in a coherent way.

POWER YOUR PINNACLE

without an amplifier

Some Pinnacle systems eliminate the need for an external amplifier entirely. One option is to use a Pinnacle active sub. You may think that this is just an active loudspeaker, but more thought has gone into it than just that.

Some systems in the Pinnacle range use an active subwoofer that can also power the additional cabinets in the system. The sub has loudspeaker outputs, which means that one can drive a second, passive sub and up to four columns. It works as the heart of the system and again minimises loudspeaker cabling for simple install. Unlike other active systems, you only need mains power to one location. Everything else is just loudspeaker cabling.

There are several pinnacle kits to match your application. They comprise an active sub, passive subwoofer, and columns, as well as other systems that come with four-channel external amplifiers to drive passive loudspeakers.

These systems have been deployed in some of the most prestigious theatres and performance venues across the world for their discretion, simplicity and sleekness. Pinnacle offers the power of one system that has been crafted for premium, unmatched performance.

PINNACLE CHANGES HOW TO THINK ABOUT CONNECTING AUDIO

Whilst also giving you choice. You can use high-impedance loudspeakers, using significantly fewer channels. These whole passive systems are driven by external amp racks, and they’re available for those who are less comfortable using active speakers, especially in outdoor installations.

Alternatively you can use the intelligent powered sub – eliminating amplifier racks entirely. Both offer the convenience of easy system set up.
