K-BASEMIC4 is a network-based paging and message management station designed for railway stations, transportation facilities and other complex infrastructures. More than a conventional microphone base, it provides operators with a dedicated interface for live announcements, chimes and pre-recorded messages, allowing audio communications to be easily addressed to selected zones and groups.

Audio-over-IP with NDI

Through Ethernet connectivity and Audio-over-IP via NDI protocol, K-BASEMIC4 brings paging and message distribution directly onto the network. Digital audio can be exchanged with compatible devices over standard network connections, providing a flexible and scalable approach to signal distribution across multiple areas and reducing the need for dedicated point-to-point audio connections.

Integrated touchscreen & web app

The integrated touchscreen acts as the physical interface for everyday operation, giving operators immediate access to paging functions, zone and group selection, messages, chimes and monitoring. The dedicated web app extends access to configuration and system management and can be reached either from the K-BASEMIC4 touchscreen or from a computer connected to the same network. It provides information on device and network status and access to microphone and monitoring channel configuration, device settings, language selection, interface locking, reboot and system updates.

K-BASEMIC4 is the operational access point to a complete audio ecosystem designed for transportation infrastructures, bringing together paging and message management, signal processing and distribution, amplification and sound reproduction. The system combines K-BASEMIC4 with Prisma processing matrices, K-TRAFO4+4-300W - K-TRAFO4+4-600W transformer solutions and dedicated loudspeaker lines, with each component covering a specific stage of the audio signal chain. From the operator interface to the final sound output, this integrated approach provides transportation facilities with a complete and scalable audio solution within a single ecosystem.
