Located in New York City's Flatiron District, Vinile Chophouse is redefining the modern Italian chophouse by combining premium cuisine with an immersive musical atmosphere. Created by the team behind Vinyl Steakhouse, the restaurant celebrates Italian heritage through its menu, design, and one of the city's most impressive vinyl collections, including New York's largest collection of Frank Sinatra records.
To complement this unique concept, owner Kevin Flannery sought an audio solution capable of delivering exceptional sound quality while blending seamlessly into the restaurant's refined interiors. Sharing the same Italian roots, K-array was the natural choice. Installed by TechDesign, the venue features a complete K-array Ecosystem, combining K-ARRAY and KGEAR loudspeakers to provide consistent, evenly distributed audio throughout every space.
Guests are welcomed by classic Italian vinyl played on two turntables through Python-KP52 I loudspeakers paired with KGEAR GS18 subwoofers, immediately setting the tone for the dining experience. Additional Python speakers, KGEAR subwoofers, and a Thunder 12-inch subwoofer provide powerful yet controlled sound coverage in the bar area.
The main dining room is equipped with six KGEAR GH4 high-performance point source speakers, complemented by Thunder subwoofers discreetly integrated into custom-built banquettes. Upstairs, another six GH4 loudspeakers and a KGEAR GU210 subwoofer ensure the same balanced, natural sound throughout the second dining area.
For more intimate spaces, the installation has been carefully tailored to the guest experience. The private chef's table features two Vyper-KV25 II speakers and a concealed Truffle-KTR26 subwoofer, while the upstairs private dining room combines its own turntable with four Tornado-KT2 loudspeakers and a Rumble-KU26 subwoofer, creating an exclusive listening environment. The entire system is powered by Kommander amplifiers, ensuring optimal performance and seamless system management.
"Creating the right atmosphere was paramount," says owner Kevin Flannery. "We wanted an audio system that could truly bring our vinyl collection to life, particularly the timeless voices of Italian and Italian-American artists. Choosing K-array, an Italian brand, felt like a natural fit. Its exceptional clarity, even sound distribution and craftsmanship perfectly reflect the experience we wanted to create."
